Due to the current situation, we are working remotely. If you need to speak to an agent urgently, please email us. You can also leave a message on the answerphone. We check our voicemail daily.
Established in 1985, Denmark Street Management (DSM) has developed over the years to become one of the UK's leading co-operative agencies - specialising in providing highly skilled professional actors for theatre, film, television, commercials and radio.
2021. In light of government guidelines due to the current situation, our usual process as described below (invite to meetings, seeing productions etc.) is on hold. We are still accepting new applications via the ‘click here to apply’ link and would be keen to hear from anyone that would like to join our cooperative. We will resume our regular process as soon as we are able.
Belonging to a co-operative agency is a fantastic opportunity to learn about the industry from the other side, whilst being in the supportive environment of other actors. For a co-op to be successful, a certain amount of commitment is required from its members. Along with days spent working as an agent, there are other tasks and duties that support the running of a co-operative agency. It is recommended that potential applicants read the detailed FAQs on the CPMA website, as this gives an in-depth look at how co-ops work.
Here at DSM, as well as working in the office a minimum of one day a week, members are required to attend monthly meetings on the 1st Wednesday evening of each month, the AGM, attend fellow members’ shows, showcases and the shows of potential new applicants and take on or assist with administrative roles. Each member brings their own ideas and skills, which would be utilised to benefit our administrative and business tasks. All of this would be discussed if you are invited to attend one of our meetings (see below.) If this sounds like something that interests you, we would encourage you to apply.
Please read the following membership criteria carefully.
be a member of Spotlight
have a showreel we can view OR be in a production we can come to see. Ideally both!
have undergone a minimum of one year’s full-time drama training at Higher Education level
If you would like to apply to join, please click the button below and complete the application form.
As part of your application, please make sure you tell us:
why you want to join a co-operative agency
what experience/skills you can bring to the business side of DSM
what your current casting type is
Don’t forget to include the link to your spotlight page and if you are graduating or are in a production, please include details of your upcoming showcase/show.
New applicants are discussed at our monthly meetings and we will endeavour to respond to you as quickly as we can, even if your application is unsuccessful.
DATA PRIVACY: All information given to DSM via the application form shall be held by DSM for the duration of the membership application process only, and will be deleted once the applicant has been notified of our decision. Please note that this may be some months after the initial date of application. If at any point, you wish to withdraw your application/ask for your data to be deleted, please email us.
